StackTeck developed this technology to exceed
productivity solutions offered by compression molding
methods. This technology allows molders to run very high
cavitation molds for tamper evident closures on
relatively small tonnage presses. CSAM allows you to
double the number of cavities you can fit on a given tie
bar spacing vs. conventional technologies. A 2x32 (64
cavity mold) can run in a 90 ton press that was
previously limited to 1x24 matrix array.
This unique design, married with stack mold technology,
has the capability of building systems as large as 2x128
for a 28 mm t.e. closure and will run on a 400 ton
press, producing up to 3000 closures/min. (180,000
parts/hr).
